Mitzvah DJ FAQ

What is required to book?
To reserve your date, we require a signed contract and a minimum 30 percent retainer. The final balance is due 10 calendar days before the event.
How many hours are included?
Both Mitzvah packages include up to 5 consecutive hours of DJ service. Additional time is available at $250 per hour, based on availability.
What is the difference between Essentials and Premier?
Mitzvah Essentials includes our core DJ and MC team, premium sound, dance floor lighting, and a separate sound setup for cocktail hour or a secondary space. Mitzvah Premier adds built in interactive elements and a higher level of visual production, including prizes and props, uplighting, intelligent moving lights, a dedicated lighting technician, and two 50 inch TVs for visuals.
Do you provide a DJ and an MC?
Yes. Mitzvahs are best supported by a two person team. Your DJ focuses on music and energy, while the MC leads key moments, engagement, and transitions so the celebration feels clean and well paced.
Do you set up audio for cocktail hour?
Yes. We provide a separate sound setup for cocktail hour or a secondary space so every part of the event sounds right.
Can you keep the music appropriate for teens and adults?
Absolutely. We follow your preferences and keep the music age appropriate while still being fun and current. You can also share must plays and do not play requests.
Do you offer photo booths and interactive add ons?
Yes. Photo booths and interactive experiences are a great way to increase participation and create memorable moments. We will recommend the best option based on your venue layout, teen count, and timeline.
Do you provide COIs and W 9s?
Yes. We can provide a Certificate of Insurance and W 9 upon request if your venue requires it.
