Destination DJ Performance Fee

Destination weddings require travel days, added preparation, and exclusive calendar commitment that blocks off multiple local dates. As a result, destination pricing differs from local coverage.

Final pricing is determined by:

  • Destination and travel requirements
  • Number of event days (welcome party, rehearsal dinner, wedding day, etc.)
  • Overall scope of services and scheduling logistics

Travel & Lodging Guidelines

To ensure reliability on site, these travel guidelines apply:

  • Client covers round trip airfare
  • Client provides hotel accommodations for:
    • Arrival at least one calendar day prior to the first scheduled event
    • The night of the wedding
    • One additional night after the final scheduled event (to allow for return travel)
  • Ground transportation and reasonable meals are provided or reimbursed

If the DJ chooses to extend their stay beyond the contracted travel window, additional lodging and expenses beyond that period are covered by the DJ. Return airfare remains the responsibility of the client.

Equipment & Sound Production

Destination events often rely on locally sourced production. Clients are responsible for sourcing:

  • Sound systems and speakers
  • Lighting (if desired)
  • Power requirements

We provide:

  • Professional DJ controller
  • Laptop plus curated music library
  • Microphones when needed
  • Advance compatibility checks with your venue or production team

Destination Wedding FAQ

Do you offer a set destination wedding price?
Destination events are custom quoted because travel logistics, event count, and production needs vary by location. Coverage starts at $3,500, with final pricing based on your plan.
What’s required to reserve a destination wedding date?
A 30% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due 10 calendar days before the scheduled departure date.
When do travel details need to be finalized?
Travel itinerary, lodging, and the event schedule must be confirmed no later than 14 days prior to the scheduled departure date so we can coordinate properly.
What travel dates do you require?
We typically require arrival at least one calendar day prior to the first scheduled event. Return travel is generally planned for the day after the final scheduled event (or later if needed).
What do you bring vs. what do we provide?
We travel with our laptop, professional DJ controller, and curated music library. Microphones can be included when needed. Speakers, sound systems, lighting, and power requirements are sourced locally by the client, venue, or production team.
Can you DJ multiple events during the destination weekend?
Yes. Welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, ceremony sound, cocktail hour, and reception coverage can all be included. We’ll build a proposal based on the number of events and your timeline.
What if the DJ extends their stay?
If the DJ chooses to extend their stay beyond the contracted travel window, additional lodging and expenses beyond that period are covered by the DJ. Return airfare remains the responsibility of the client.
